Birdman Accused of Using Lil' Wayne in Scheme

Fool a concert promoter once, shame on you. Allegedly fool a concert promoter three times -- you're getting sued.
Bridman: Click to view!
Birdman -- the guy who runs Cash Money records -- is being sued for allegedly taking $275,000 to put on a Lil' Wayne concert in Miami ... and then backing out over and over again. Now the promoter wants his money back.

But the best part of the suit, filed today in L.A. Superior Court, is that Birdman is accused of backing out of one of the shows because "the weather was too cold." In Miami.

Meanwhile, Birdman was photographed giving Lil Wayne a briefcase filled with a million dollars in cash last week. Makes ya wonder...

Redmond is on probation for a heroin and crystal meth bust earlier in the year.

Hathaway's Con-Man Ex Blames Anne's Lifestyle

In what could go down as the worst persuasive letter ever, Raffaello Follieri's lawyer claims the con man effed up with the law because he was trying to keep up with rich people like his movie star ex-girlfriend Anne Hathaway.
Click to Read
The lawyer for Raffa, who was convicted by the Feds of bilking investors out of millions, explains his actions saying he was -- and we quote -- "surrounded by movie stars and celebrities and this young man who neither drinks nor smokes became intoxicated with it all." And the lawyer actually uses the phrase, "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions."

Really: You gotta read this.

Follieri wants a judge to give him three rather than four years in the clink. His sentencing is Oct. 23.

Gary Coleman Won't Stoop to Admitting Guilt

Gary Coleman isn't taking those bowling-alley dust-up charges sitting down. Or was it standing up?

Coleman's lawyer says he pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and reckless driving Tuesday. "He simply acted accordingly with what normal human beings would do," Randy Kester said. Thus implying Gary Coleman is a normal human being?

Gary's accused of running into a guy with his truck at a bowling alley after the guy wouldn't stop taking cell phone pictures of him.

Judge to Hayden's Dad: Try Not to Hit Your Wife

If you need a judge to tell you not to beat up your wife, it's time to re-evaluate things.

An order of protection was issued today against Alan Panettiere that orders him not to "harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk [or] molest" his wife Lesley.

Panettiere was at court today (but not actually in the court room) over misdemeanor battery charges stemming from an alleged fight with his wife back in August.

The actual arraignment was postponed until December 11 and he will remain free on $50,000 bail. If convicted, Papa Panettire could get a year in jail.

Megan In the Middle

We were at the L.A. County Courthouse Friday when Brian Austin Green showed up with Megan Fox...and we know what went down.
Megan & Brian: Click to watch
Our sources say Brian's baby mama, actress Vanessa Marcil, took him to court over their custody arrangement. We're told Vanessa has been complaining lately about a lot of things, but the hour-and-a-half hearing was more about fine-tuning than re-doing the custody arrangement.

As for Megan, we're told she was only in court for moral support. She did not testify. Suffice it to say, Vanessa won't be looking to make Megan her BFF. Maybe one reason -- Vanessa turns 40 on Wednesday. Megan is a smokin' 22.

Lindsay Lohan's Girl Threatened By Hired Gun

Sam Ronson was threatened by a lawyer she's suing -- threatened with bad publicity, according to court papers.

Ronson is suing Martin Garbus, a high-profile lawyer who she claims botched her defamation case against Perez Hilton. The New York Daily News says according to the docs, after Ronson said she wouldn't pay Garbus' full legal bill, he sent her a draft of a lawsuit he planned to file against her with this warning -- "Please don't force me to do it ... The blogs will pick it up."

Garbus is an expert in the First Amendment -- that's the one that says you have a right to say whatever you want and make snarky threats to people who don't pay your bill.

Peter Cook: "I'm Not a Scumbag Pervert"

Peter CookIn last night's "20/20" interview with Barbara Walters, Christie Brinkley's ex, Peter Cook, claimed he's not a womanizing, sex-crazed pervert. He's just drawn that way.

Cook went on to claim his motivations in the world's ugliest divorce trial were not financial. Comparing his sullied reputation to an "elephant in the room," Cook told Walters he just wants his kids to know the real him.

He must mean the guy who's the loving father and dedicated husband -- not that other guy who bathed daily in online porn and banged his 18-year-old assistant.

Helio Gets Green Flag for Oz

Helio Castroneves is going halfway around the world while he awaits trial on tax evasion charges. Good idea?

A Federal judge is letting H go to Australia for a race on October 26. The same judge allowed him to race last Saturday in Atlanta, just a day after his indictment hearing. Not too shabby, all this travel.

Amusingly enough, the judge said if he tries to go on the lam, Helio would be "dancing with the U.S. marshals." Ah, jurist humor.

Hef Twin Busted for Catfight with Her Sis!

Hugh Hefner's new twin GFs don't just beat the living crap out of other people -- they also kick the s**t out of each other.

We've learned Karissa Shannon was arrested just two months before she and sis Kristina were pinched for aggravated battery back in January. In this case, however, she was popped for kicking her own twin sister in the face. Lovely.

Here's the blow-by-blow, according to the charge report: When cops showed up, Kristina was lying on the ground outside their apartment "wearing only blue jean pants" and "bleeding from her nose," while Karissa was standing over Kristina asking who had done this, "as if she had no idea what had happened."

Best part: a neighbor said he witnessed the one twin kicking the other twin in the face, though "he could not identify which sister was which." Karissa eventually fessed up.

"Austin Powers" Star Charged in Gang Rape

Joe SonTMZ has learned the actor who played Random Task in the first "Austin Powers" movie has been charged with a vicious gang rape.

Joe Son's arrest has been all over newspapers in the O.C., but no one connected the dots -- that the suspect is actually Dr. Evil's henchman -- until now.

Here's how it all went down. Son pleaded guilty back in May to felony vandalism. The plea required him to fork over a DNA sample. Investigators ran his sample and found Son's DNA connected him to an unsolved gang rape back in 1990, where a woman was pistol-whipped, raped, threatened with death and eventually blindfolded and released naked.

Son has been charged with five felony counts of rape, two felony counts of forcible sodomy, two felony counts of sodomy in concert by force, seven felony counts of forcible oral copulation, and one felony count of sexual penetration by foreign object by force.

Son faces a maximum sentence of 275 years to life if convicted.
